Money Management for Artisans

Learn the basics of how to track and manage your income and expenses for your art business.

In this course you will learn basic money management skills, including:

  • Income tracking.
  • Expense tracking.
  • Paying yourself.
  • Budgeting for emergencies.
  • Budgeting for refunds.
  • Budgeting for growth.
  • Managing owner's contributions.
  • Setting long-term financial goals.
  • And more!

This introductory course will give you the tools you need to begin to control your art business' finances. The contents of this course are inspired in part by the wonderful book, Profit First by Mike Michalowicz. Mike's book is a lot more in-depth and detail oriented, whereas this course is more of a big picture overview, with the addition of helpful tips specific to starting and growing an art business.

Note: I am not a CPA or lawyer or any such thing. I am just a small business owner who has navigated this world on my own, and figured out what works and what doesn't. You are ultimately liable for any choices that you make for your business.
