JPL and Mobius Necklace Project

JPL is one of the thinnest and tightest chainmaille chain weaves, making it a great option for minimal designs. This weave is technically a dense version of Spiral 4-in-1, that’s tight enough that each ring is essentially locked into its place within the weave, meaning that the weave won’t unravel the way Spiral 4-in-1 will. Like Spiral 4-in-1, it can be woven in two different directions —&nbsp;however, because the profile of the weave is relatively round, the difference between the directions is less noticeable. For now, this course will only teach how to weave it in one direction, but I’ll give some pointers for weaving it in the other direction.JPL is different enough in the weaving process from Spiral 4-in-1 that I didn’t list it as a prerequisite, but you may find that course to be of interest while learning JPL. Both Spiral 4-in-1 and JPL use Mobius as a starting-off point.Note: The left-handed perspective videos are going to result in a chain woven in the opposite direction of the associated right-handed perspective video.Recommended Prerequisite Courses:<ul><li><a target="" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.theartisanacademy.com/course-detail/chainmaille-basics/13370/">Chainmaille Basics</a></li><li><a target="" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.theartisanacademy.com/course-detail/mobius/39815/">Mobius</a></li></ul>I film these courses using my phone, and I position the phone in such a way that it is between me and what I’m weaving, causing me to use the phone’s screen to see what I’m working on. This means that you literally see the same thing I see when I’m filming.I am right-handed, and as such I film the videos from a right-handed perspective. However, every weaving video is copied and then flipped horizontally, to show the left-handed perspective as well.
