Trinitymaille Earrings Project

Trinitymaille is essentially an unbalanced and looser version of European 4-in-1. The “trinity” part of the name likely comes from it being a 3-in-1 weave —&nbsp;in fact, some people think of it as European 3-in-1.Because Trinitymaille is unbalanced, it doesn’t hang straight like European 4-in-1 does —&nbsp;it actually twists when hung (or even when lying flat, if woven in a tight enough aspect ratio). Because of this twisting characteristic, it can be woven in two different ways, which results in two different twist directions. This makes mirrored designs possible.For this course, we’ll make a pair of mirrored diamond-shaped earrings, that twist in opposite directions. The magic in this project is really in how beautifully these earrings hang when worn.Recommended Prerequisite Courses:<ul><li><a target="" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.theartisanacademy.com/course-detail/chainmaille-basics/13370/">Chainmaille Basics</a></li><li><a target="" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.theartisanacademy.com/course-detail/european-4-in-1/41535/">European 4-in-1</a></li></ul>I film these courses using my phone, and I position the phone in such a way that it is between me and what I’m weaving, causing me to use the phone’s screen to see what I’m working on. This means that you literally see the same thing I see when I’m filming.I am right-handed, and as such I film the videos from a right-handed perspective. However, every weaving video is copied and then flipped horizontally, to show the left-handed perspective as well.
